Better Akron Recreation for Canines

Akron Dog Park and BARC ( Better Akron Recreation for Canines) are committed to creating a safe, fenced-in space in metro Akron where dogs can exercise and play together off leash while their owners enjoy the park-like setting and socialize with fellow "canine companions."

We are a non-profit operated dog park in Akron Ohio, that allows dogs to exercise and socialize safely. Puppies and adult dogs need room to run, and enclosed play areas permit them to do so while preventing them from endangering themselves and others. In addition, dogs who are accustomed to playing with animals and people other than their owners are more likely to be well-socialized and react well toward strangers.

Akron Dog Park promotes responsible dog ownership. Community parks like Akron Dog Park prevent off-leash animals from infringing on the rights of other neighborhood residents and park users such as joggers, small children and those who may be fearful of dogs.
